Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and support plant-wide safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for evaluating work conditions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a proactive safety culture across the facility. This is a direct hire opportunity with one direct reports.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and support plant-wide safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for evaluating work conditions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a proactive safety culture across the facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the facility’s EHS and safety programs
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Oversee Lead compliance, air surveys, noise monitoring, and medical monitoring programs
- Manage workers’ compensation, employee injuries, and incident investigations
- Conduct new-hire safety orientation and ongoing EHS training
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulations
- Maintain EHS records, reports, and compliance documentation
- Perform ergonomic assessments and implement corrective actions
- Inspect and maintain safety and emergency response equipment
- Partner with leadership and engineering on new processes, construction, and facility improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Health Science, or related field preferred
(Associate’s degree with 8–10 years of relevant experience considered) - 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing EHS experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
- Experience with exposure monitoring, audits, and compliance programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills
