Job Overview
A local healthcare office is seeking a dependable and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join its team. This role combines front office responsibilities with administrative support in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable balancing multiple priorities throughout the day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors while providing excellent customer service.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally.
- Schedule appointments and update patient information.
- Verify insurance information and complete required authorizations when needed.
- Maintain and organize patient records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Process office paperwork, payments, and other administrative tasks.
- Assist with records requests and document management.
- Provide support to clinical staff with non-patient care duties.
- Keep reception and clinical areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Complete general office projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or professional office preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, or electronic health records is helpful but not required.
