Job Title:   Manufacturing Technician

Shift:  1st shift               ( Direct Hire )

Job Location: Sterling, IL 61081

Compensation:    $ 56,000 – $ 72,800 annual

 

Job Summary for : . This position coordinates projects from planning through implementation, monitors progress, maintains project documentation, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

•             Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget

•             Executing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

•             Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

•             Report and escalate to management as needed

•             Perform risk management to minimize project risks

•             Establish and maintain relationships with third party vendors

•             Create and maintain comprehensive project and process documentation

•             Involve all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

•             Detail project plans to track and report on progress

•             Manage continuous improvement efforts to avoid wastes such as overproduction, reworks, waits, overprocessing, transport, motion and excess of inventory

•             Proactively address production issues that could affect schedule adherence, working with team members to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

•             Implement processes to reduce cycle time and increase capacity projects

•             Support on cost control projects based on manufacturing cost reduction commitments (LCP, OVCP, Scrap)

•             Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.  

 

Education/ Experience: 

Minimum 3 years of Experience in Manufacturing.

Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or Manufacturing Technology preferred.

High School diploma or GED required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Must pass background check and drug screen.
