CNC  Lathe  Machinist
 
Long Term – Potential Temp to Hire
Location :    Escondido , CA
 
Responsibilities Include:

  • Set Up and  operation    for  CNC  Lathe  Machinist role
  • Efficiently set-up and operate CNC machine
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
  • Read and interpret drawings / blueprints and perform in-process inspections
  • Read GD& T    symbols  and develop appropriate machining methods
  • Work and communicate well with others
  • Follows safety procedures
 
Requirements Include:

  • 2+ years of experience as a setup machinist  on  CNC  Lathes  
  • Ability to use inspections tools to verify part conformance
  • Organized and possess good computer skills
  • Strong computer and math skills
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed concentration and precision
  • Ability to use Inspection tools to verify part conformance
  • Knowledge  Mori Seiki, Wasino, Okuma, Takisawa,  ProtoTrak  Lathes and Hanwha Screw machine  - Desired
Physical Requirements:

  • S tanding 5+ Hours a day    
  • Walking 1- 5    hours  a week
  • Bending ,  kneeling, crouching, reaching and stretching hands and arms
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials up to 50  Lbs , but mostly using mechanical assistance especially for large items or weights exceeding this weight limit
  • Wear  protective clothing or equipment  as  required   including safety glasses, ear protection – cut resistant gloves and steel toed boots.
 
Compensation :    $ 2 0  -   $ 3 0  Hr .   -  DOE
