Schedule: Night Shift Hours
Wage: $22/hr, Plus Night Shift Differential
Position Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, stage, and store dairy products and materials throughout the facility. This position helps maintain an accurate, organized, and safe warehouse while supporting production and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring products and materials are handled properly.
- Move finished products, raw materials, packaging, pallets, and supplies to designated locations.
- Wrap and secure pallets using stretch-wrap equipment or by hand to ensure products are stable and protected during storage and transportation.
- Inspect pallets and loads for proper stacking, stability, labeling, and product condition.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for shipment.
- Follow warehouse procedures for product rotation, storage, and inventory movement.
- Maintain accurate product counts and report damaged, missing, or misplaced products.
- Keep work areas, aisles, loading docks, and storage locations clean and organized.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment problems or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
- Current forklift certification or ability to successfully complete company forklift training.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy warehouse and loading environment.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle products and materials as required.
- Ability to read labels, follow written and verbal instructions, and accurately complete warehouse documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in refrigerated, cold, or varying warehouse temperatures as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
