Job Summary:
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Licensed Life and Health Insurance Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining existing life and health insurance policies by providing exceptional support to clients, processing policy changes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding life and health insurance policies.
- Assist policyholders with coverage questions, billing inquiries, claims support, and policy updates.
- Process policy changes such as beneficiary updates, address changes, plan upgrades/downgrades, and policy cancellations.
- Explain policy features, benefits, and limitations to clients clearly and accurately.
- Work closely with underwriters, claims departments, and other internal teams to resolve customer concerns.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and service transactions in CRM systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities for additional coverage or policy enhancements based on client needs (if applicable).
- Stay up to date on industry products, services, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Valid Life and Health Insurance License (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in insurance customer service or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of life and health insurance products and terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using customer service software, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
